Jason Wu Fall 2014 Ready-to-Wear

Jason Wu took a different approach to his latest collection. Instead of  a corseted fierce silhouette, he opted for an unflustered beauty. The wide-leg trousers and  bias-cut dresses were a first for Jason Wu, but still could easily be seen on the his customer. To counter balance the large cozy shape of the coats, Wu designed long lean silhouettes underneath, which together created a powerful and feminine look.
Overall, the collection had a 1930’s Hollywood glam sensation that was in turn modernized by cutouts and mixing textural fabric. The silk sleeveless turtleneck gown felt like old Hollywood but was updated with the cutout at the waist. The lilac knit sweater styled with the draped silk skirt created a contemporary 30s vibe. Shades of purple including lilac, lavender, and eggplant gave the collection a luxurious feel. And the sheer long-sleeve gown with velvet detail was beyond gorgeous and stood out even more with the model's platinum hair.
